Active Recovery

Complete 30 minutes of low to moderate intensity exercise. This can be any of the following:

  1. Walking
  2. Swimming
  3. Biking
  4. Rowing

Or just anything that is movement based and that you enjoy doing. You can even go dancing if you’d like!

The best time of the day for active recovery exercises is in the morning as soon as you wake up and before eating anything. As soon as you wake up, your fat burning hormones are at their peak and your body is more likely to tap directly into your fat for fuel.

For better results, drink a straight black coffee or sugar-free green tea to kick-start your metabolism.

Don’t feel like resting? If you’re not tired from your last workout session, repeat Day 1 instead of taking a rest day.
